Meeting Time and Location

The Columbus Amateur Radio Club (C.A.R.C.) meets at 6:00 PM (Eastern) generally on the 2nd Thursday of each month (except December), usually at the main branch of the Columbus Public Library at 3000 Macon Road.

This sometimes changes, so to be sure, tune in to our Wednesday night net or contact us via email, Facebook or Twitter (all on the home page).

For better directions, call in on the CARC Linked Repeater System and someone will help you find the library.

We usually have the doors open by 5:30 PM or so for setup and general fellowship, so plan to arrive a bit before the meeting.

Most of our get-togethers are followed by eating… so, come just a little bit hungry and join us for the eating after the meeting.

Our monthly meeting topics generally follow the following broad themes:

  • January: Operating Events
  • February: Make It!
  • March: Out of This World
  • April: Beyond the Shack
  • May: Field Day
  • June: Let’s Get Digital!
  • July: Around the Shack
  • August: Above HF
  • September: Preparedness
  • October: Back to Basics
  • November: More Technical
  • December: Christmas/Holiday Season Social (verify time and location).

The meeting themes are intentionally broad to encourage variety.

If you have a specific topic that you would like to present at a meeting, see where it fits best and coordinate with the activities chairperson.

We host a weekly 2-meter net on Wednesday evening and SkyWarn nets when severe weather threatens the area.

QSL Cards may be sent to our address on the home page and should include an appropriate sized SASE or $1 for us to provide the envelope and postage.

YOU ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US!
